Alytus District Municipality Primary Health Care Center (PHC) and Alytus District Health Bureau invite you to participate in the health campaign "Healthy Children – Healthy Parents" on August 28 at 9:00 AM. The event will take place at the Simnas Ambulatory (Vytauto g. 55, Simnas, Alytus District).

The goal of this campaign is to take care of children's health before the start of the new school year. Doctor Roberta Urbonavičienė reminds that it is essential to conduct a thorough health check for children before school. The checkup includes not only measuring height and weight but also checking blood pressure, evaluating the heart and respiratory systems, posture, and vision.

Doctor’s Tips for a Smoother Start to the School Year

To help children ease into the school year, the doctor recommends adjusting their daily routine a week before September—going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. While there is still time, it is important to spend as much time as possible outdoors and avoid screen time. It is also advised that the whole family start taking vitamin D supplements, as they are necessary until May.

If your child is attending sports clubs, parents are reminded to ensure their child has a health certificate for physical activities.
