Implementation of the "Health Center Operational Model in Alytus District Municipality" Project Begins

The administration of Alytus District Municipality, together with its partner, the Alytus District Municipality Primary Health Care Center, is starting to implement the project "Implementation of the Health Center Operational Model in Alytus District Municipality" under project No. 09-023-P-0022.

The investments will ensure that patients receive high-quality and accessible healthcare services and their continuity, improving the health indicators of the municipality's residents. The project activities will ensure the performance of the health center's coordination functions, create conditions for applying more efficient service delivery models at the health center, improving the quality and accessibility of healthcare services for patients suffering from chronic non-communicable diseases, implementing patient flow management and service delivery measures to ensure that the patient receives a comprehensive list of all necessary services provided by the municipality's health center in the shortest possible time. This project will contribute to the standardization of processes at the Alytus District Municipality Health Center, which will be ensured by competent employees who are knowledgeable in their field, and the documents necessary for implementing patient flow management and (or) service delivery measures (green corridor principle).

The goal of the project is to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services provided by the Alytus District Health Center to the residents of Alytus District Municipality.

Planned results after the implementation of the project: The project is aimed at improving the accessibility and quality of services provided by the Alytus District Health Center. It is expected that the health center's activities will shorten the patient's journey through the healthcare system, create conditions for residents to receive high-quality healthcare services closer to their place of residence, provide the opportunity to see specialist doctors faster, and reduce patient flows. As a result of the project's implementation, a health center operational model will be introduced, which will enable the effective organization and implementation of the activities of the Alytus District Health Center. The implementation of the project will create conditions to improve the care and quality of life of residents of Alytus District Municipality suffering from chronic non-communicable diseases, by enabling them to independently manage their chronic condition and improve self-care skills.

Total project value: 268,375.60 Eur, funded by European Union funds.
